Greetings & Happy New Year,

We would like to share news of an exciting initiative taking place in Red Hook. Red Hook WIFI is expanding and is looking for small business partners to host hotspots!

Red Hook WIFI, a project of the Red Hook Initiative, is a resilient public WIFI network powered by renewable energy backup systems ensuring connectivity in the event of a power outage. With a grant from the City of New York, we are expanding the network throughout the business corridors of Red Hook.

Partnering businesses receive free internet connectivity for two years for their business/customers as well as marketing opportunities on the network.

Additionally, we are working with South Brooklyn Industrial Development Corporation (SBIDC), to identify which business supports and resources would be most beneficial to our partners. In order to determine what resources would be most useful, we are asking local business owners to complete this brief survey.
Please take a few moments to fill it out.

In the next few weeks, we will be recruiting Red Hook businesses to join us in this exciting new chapter.

To receive this free service for your business and to join a community effort to bridge the digital divide please contact dabriah@rhicenter.org or 718-858-6782!
